Some things to ask yourself:

✦How will you go about pricing your home?
✦How are you going to market the home?
✦Do you have an advertising & marketing budget?
✦How much time do you have to devote to answering calls & scheduling showings?
✦Will you be available to show your home at any time of day?
✦Will you be available 7 days a week – days & evenings?
✦How are going to vet the people you are letting into your home?
✦Will you be able to weed out unqualified buyers?
✦Will you be willing to pay the Buyer’s Agent’s commission (typically 3%)?
✦Are you good at staging?
✦How knowledgeable are you about real estate transactions?
✦Do you feel comfortable with direct negotiations?
✦Do you feel comfortable with the paperwork & legal forms?
✦Do you know a good real estate attorney to handle the closing?
✦How quickly do you need to sell your home?

According to the 2016 National Association of REALTORS Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, For Sale By Owner (FSBO) accounted for 8% of home sales in 2016. The typical FSBO home sold for $185,000 compared to $245,000 for agent-assisted home sales.

Your home will most likely command a higher price if listed by an agent and will have MUCH better & broader marketing.
